can you get cauliflower ear from a cartilage piercing?

Is it even remotely possible that can you get cauliflower ear from a cartilage piercing?

I want to get a piercing like that but i don't want something that will ruing my ear forever if you know what I mean?

You can BUT only if you pierce it too high on the top curve of your ear. if you want to pierce your cartilage pierce the top side of your ear, not all the way on top. I pierce myself all the time and i've never gotten that wretched disease. Haha. good luck :] and by the way..if you want to do it yourself like me, clean everything. it actually doesn't hurt that bad :] barely at all.
