Halloween : Mummy Costume 17/f
I am in Brisbane, Australia and i recently moved here. I have never gone trick or treating or anything like this before as i am from South Africa and it is a little risky doing such..
I would like to dress up as a Mummy for halloween this year, i would like to go for the cheapest option. not something too pricey; i dont want to hire a costume. i want to make my own. i was thinking of using bandages, but im not too sure.. i have never done this before and so i dont know if it will out nicely or not.. it has too look a lil brownish and dirty as Mummies are ancient! and... should i wear any sort of footwear? it may look a bit odd. so maybe not..
but any ideas/advice or experiences you would like to share with me would be greatly appreciated!
thank you!

hey! i am from SA too :D....but i can relate to how you feel haha....it depends if you want it sexy or just whatever. what i've heard of is getting strips of cloth and dipping them in lemon juice, wring the cloth, and putting them on a cookie sheet and putting it in the oven...it makes the cloth have brownish, dirt, black and colors close to that in different areas...maybe you can wear a fitted dress/tunic/white tunic that goes to your mid thigh, and then wrap the cloth around your legs as if they were knee high socks and you can wear white flip flops maybe, or highheels, and then just wrap the cloth again on your arms like long long gloves...and then for the socks and for the arms you can cut strands and have them hanging or dangling off like a mummy..... ]
