new empty lot on sims 3
Is there a way to add new empty lots to sims 3? If there isn't then do you have to tare down houses to build new houses or put houses from the sims exchange in? It seems impractical that they wouldnt have a way to add empty lots, but i looked in the game and there didnt appear to be an easy way to do it.

You can build on an empty lot, if you edit town
you will see tags on each building which will tell you the empty ones. they can also be changed from residential to community.
Sorry, you can't add lots unfortunately, but you can select from already placed lots.
