so my ex boy friend just recently called me saying he wanted to talk (i havent seen or heard of him for like 4 months) anyways so he tells me that he misses me and he wants another chance and i dont know what to do. he broke up with me and was a jerk about it, he really messed up.
i still have feelings for him and i dont know what to do. i talked to him over the phone and he explained him self and i pretty much believe everything he said but no one likes him (for me) none of my friends, just because of how big of a jerk he was when he broke up with me.
i dont want to jump back to him like an idiot. but i dont know what to do. i talked so bad about him and i really thought i was over it and then when i talked to him it all came back.
like i want to keep him but i don want it to be easy i want him to work for it cause im not doing this again with him.
any advice would be helpful thanks!!

You seem like youstill like him, so I think what you should do is continue talking to him for awhile. But that's it. When he asks you if you want to hang out, say you're busy. Then after a few weeks if he's still trying to hang out with you, that shows he was willing to wait and really is interested in spending time with you. Hang out with him a few times so you can see how he acts and see if he has changed. Then, from there you can decide what to do. If he seems changed and like a decent person, get your friends to hang out with him so they can see he's no longer a jerk and maybe you two can get back together and have their support. But if he seems like he hasn't changed, let him go. Someone better will come along. Hope I helped :) [ aidenisfire's advice column | Ask aidenisfire A Question ]
