ok. so im super excited bc my really great guy friend who i have a crush on is going to ask me to dance at formal!! the thing is i never danced with a guy before so im kinda nervous. does anyone have any tips?

Take his arms and out them around your wasit. From there, there is no perfect way but just kinda move from left to right and whisper in his ear. If you really want to get him going look up at him and kiss him. But since you say you two are only friends i'd go with just looking at him in the eye for a while. Just go with the flow. Guys are supposed to lead when you dance, so just follow his lead. =]
