stabbing feeling?

Question Posted Tuesday May 5 2009, 9:01 pm

Earlier when I urinated I had this really sharp, kinda stabbing feeling down there. Since then I've had the feeling like I have to urinate every few minutes. I only go a little bit & I'm still having that pain. Does anyone know if this is the start of a UTI, bladder infection, or what? Thanks!

Sounds like Cystitis. You can treat it with medicine from over the counter - something with cranberry.

You can also get cranberry tablets. It should take 2-3 days. If it doesn't clear up, then you should see a doctor.

Good luck

This sounds like a UTI. When you feel like you have to urinate often, but have trouble going. And especially when it burns like that when you try to go. You need to make an appointment with your doctor. They'll have you take a urine test and give you some meds to clear it up.

Hope this helps.
