That sounds very suspicious to me as well. I would be concerned if my friend and boyfriend were THAT close. If they met after you two started dating, it's even worse. I wouldn't let my boyfriends do anything alone with my friends that are girls. I just don't trust people enough! Plus, they shouldn't be talking about anything that you can't be let in on. If I were you, I'd talk to your friend first. Tell her that lately you've been feeling left out and sort of weirded out about how close she is to your boyfriend. If she really is your friend, she'll take this into consideration and let you in on their conversations- maybe even stop talking or hanging out with him so much.
If she reacts extremely defensively to this, you'll know something's up for sure. If nothing was going on, she would have no reason to get angry at you for simply stating how you feel. Just make sure you act mature about it, ya know. Don't act super whiny or pissy because then she will get defensive either way.
Also, if you do go about it in a responsible way and she does get defensive, you'll have to talk to your boyfriend next. Just say that you passively mentioned to your friend that it hurts your feelings that they leave you out of conversations and are so close. Then tell him that she got defensive about it and it's starting to make you suspicious.
Hopefully nothing is going on, but if you pin both of them separately into corners, they're bound to crack if something is up. If it turns out they've got something going on behind your back, break off ties with both of them immediately. You deserve a better boyfriend and best friend than that!

Hope this helps(:
