Question Posted Thursday February 5 2009, 3:23 pm

lately ive been trying to be healthy. for the past 3 months all i eat is organic healthy foods. but i still get cravings for choclate, donuts, and bread my favortie thingsss! so a lot of times ill go a week or two weeks without any of it and it can be pretty hard consideirng im 17 years old and im around that food ALL the time! so evntulaly ill have a bad item and then it just sets me off and because i feel like i never get this food i end up over indulging and i fill myself up a rediculous amount. i think this is a bad habit and somebody compared it to "yo-yo dieting" even though im not really on a diet. but could this end up making me unhealthy or make me gain weight? and is it a bad habitt

You can't go so long without fullfilling your craving. It's better to have a small candy bar once every couple days when you have a craving, then waiting forever then chowing down. split a donut with someone, and bread isn't bad for you. There's lots of multigrain bread with lots of fiber and nutrients. You should never eat white bread, its over processed. Also, what people don't think about, is when your body craves sugar, fill it with natural sugar, fruit! Buy fruit that's really sweet, like cherries, kiwi, melon, it will really help a craving, and you can eat as much of it as you want! Goodluck!
