Sorry if this is long. There’s this guy, we’ll call him Luke, who I think I’m starting to like who’s in the same 7th, 8th, and 9th period classes with me every day
(7th-Chem
8th-Chem Lab every other day and Gym on the other days
9th-Math)
So we only talk sometimes in Chem cause he’s a little bit farther away from in that class and he talks to this other girl (they’re just friends, trust me) and this guy. Then on Gym days me him and my other friend, we’ll call her Lauren, talk the whole time pretty much. And in math we don’t get the chance to talk because he sits all the way on the other side of the room with a couple of his friends & the whole period is basically working anyway. So back to gym. Usually my teacher takes 10 minutes to start class anyway so me Luke and Lauren talk for awhile and we laugh a lot and such. So Lauren is really teasable so we tease her in a joking way sometimes and we're always laughing and stuff. So on Wednesday we were continuing playing badminton, and when my teacher told us to get with our partners Luke jokingly was like “Melanie (pretending that’s my name) your on my team” so we could jokingly pretend to desert Lauren and it didn’t matter cause my teacher was like no no same teams at last time cause he’s weird like that haha. So yesterday, Friday, we’re sitting on the gym floor laughing and stuff and our teacher walks in and didn’t even say anything about getting with your partners just yet. So Luke grabs my arm and is like “Melanie your on my team!” (I know the way I’m explaining it makes it sound like he did it awkwardly but he didn’t, I just can’t explain it that well) and I was completely taken off guard but like Lauren started pulling me back too anyway (I never ended up on his team anyway lol) And I had been contemplating whether or not I liked him for about a month or two now and when he grabbed my arm like that I knew for sure that I did. I’d been smiling the rest of the day and I barely concentrated in math after, and I've been smiling about it all this morning too. And also I don’t catch him all the time but sometimes I catch him staring at me, mostly in gym when we’re all talking, like even if I’m not the one saying anything. So three final questions:
1. Is it possible he likes me?
2. How can I find out or what signs can I look for to find out if he likes me without being to obvious (I’m too scared to be too obvious lol)
3. Whether or not he likes me what can I do (of course without being too obvious) to grab his attention or get him to like me?

1) there is always a possibility he may like you; everyone knows what lads are like. But, they can say one thing and mean another so you have gotta be careful because they are tricky !
(i dont mean to sound patronizing by the way :S)
but anyway;
2) There are many simple signs. :)
- he raises his eyebrows when he talks to you
- when you catch him looking at him does he quickly turn away or look embarressed.
- he will probably touch you alot like when you are laughing he might touch your leg or he might hug you over small things.
- if he tries to work with you etc, (which he did)
- if he always wants to talk to you
- if he acts a bit immature around you
- and even if he starts copying your movements subconciously. :)
there is loads more; but beware of misreading!
3) be yourself; if he does like you, he is clearly attracted to you as you are and there are 3 vital boxes to tick before making a big step;
- you are not doing it for a bad reason, e.g. to get back at someone.
- it wont cause conflict between you and your friends

- you feel ready to start a relationship. :)

if it is going to work out it will work out just dont change for anyone and make sure if it all goes to pot you stay friends because you seem really good friends;
but from an outsiders opinion, i would probably think that he likes you. ;)
and i wouldnt try dropping 'subtle hints' because he just will not understand it !

First, guys tend to only hang out with girls they find attractive(not just physically, but as friends and stuff too). All the signs he likes you are in the question you wrote. The real question you need to contemplate is, do you want to sacrifice a good friendship for possibly a romantic relationship? It sounds to me your friendship with him is great, and you have a few classes with him. If you become an item with him, and break up down the road, it could cause a very uncomfortable situation. You just need to approach him some time and tell him you really like him, and see how he answers. If he really likes you a lot, it may be worth discussing if a relationship with him would work.
