Question Posted Wednesday January 14 2009, 1:22 pm
I just got the blackberry pearl and i like it a lot. But it is very difficult to manage and figure out. I just have a few questions! Please answer..
1. How do you make the picture your background as the whole screen and with out the icons in the way? I have tried this and it only does the half screen with icons on top of it.
2. What do you do to make the trackball turn different colors when someone calls?
3. How do you download your own ringtones on the phone? I want to get my ringtones from a website called myxertones.com and zedge.com. I just can't figure it out.
2- You have to download it from the internet. Search it on google. BUT beware, i tried this and it froze my phone permanently and i had to get a new phone. Or you can make it just a constant color by taking out the track ball and coloring over the little light whatever color you want.
3- i had a myxertones account. you just sign up and put your number in and check what type of phone you have and then you go to "Create your own" and then click "browse" and go into whatever folder your music is saved in and select a song. Then you can click "customize" to choose the length of your ringtone and which part of the song you want as our ringtone. Then you click "send to phone" then your blackberry should recieve a text message. Go to it and then click over the link press the menu button and click "download" then it will take you to the internet (make sure you have internet in order for this to work) then you click it again and press download and once its done you press menu and select save to ringtones.
