My speakers won't work, I have XP need help now!

My computer is an old computer and I put XP on it and the speakers were working perfectly fine. One day it stopped! Now no sound comes through not even with headphones! what should I do?

Have you accidentally muted the volume? More information would be nice, such as is this a sound card or integrated on the motherboard? Have you checked the physical connections? There could be a whole slue of different reasons even the driver. You can check at Microsoft's update page to see if perhaps there is an update for your driver.
