He acts like he likes me, but I hear he likes someone else? CONFUSED. read
14/f (SORRY ITS LONG)
So there is this kid in my grade, Let's call him Connor. Last year we talked once or twice and that's about it. Then when this year's school year began he came up to me and we started talking like we've been friends forever, and ever since we've been completely close. He waits for me at the end of the day and we walk to our lockers together, We walk to the buses together, and hang out at Reck alot together. Throughout the time we've been hanging out I've developed a crush I guess you could say. Well not a crush, I'm positive I like him. A LOT. We call each other our "bestest friends" And he's always giving me high fives and nice smiles in the hallway. One day he came up to me at lunch and started playing with my hands I guess you could say, He told me he'd meet me outside the lunchroom so we can walk to our next period like we usually do. When he left my friend Addison came up to me and she was like "That's weird" and I was like "what?" And she was like, "Connor, he was like flirting with you yet he constantly texts this girl in another school, Jackie"
I was pretty dissapointed but I shrugged it off and tried to ignore it and push it in the back of my mind hanging out with him like normal. It was going great and I never heard of this Jackie girl until today I was walking with my friend Dana in the hallway (She's really good friends with Connor too) After he gave me the usual high five in the hallway Dana was like "You know he likes that girl in the other school right?"
That wasn't so hard to forget. I mean at first when I heard he texts her constantly I was like Okay No Big Deal he doesn't like her. But now that I hear he does, I'm bummed. And completely confused, It seemed like he liked me so much.
For example, He waited for me at my last period class like usual, We started walking down the hall when his friend called him over, He told me to go on without me and He'd catch up. I did as I was told and as I was walking some Weirdo kid comes up and starts hitting on me, He was saying some stuff that was making me uncomfortable. He was like "how are you doin?" When Connor comes up out of no where, goes in his face and was like "How are YOU doing" The kid instantly ran away. And now me and Connor laugh about that. It was like two weeks ago and I haven't seen the kid since and Connor was like, "I saw him before I was about to smack him" And I was like, "I don't even remember what he looks like" And he was like, "I'll always remember that face"
See what I mean? He likes Jackie, But yet he's acting like he likes me!!?! And I don't know if I should move on from him or what!? Maybe he really means 'Bestest friends' And i'm just getting mixed signals? Argg. Help!!!

let me break it down to you on what i think may be going on.
he MAY or MAY NOT like this Jackie chick. but it doesnt mean he doesnt like you.
maybe hes the flirty type of guy. you know the usual smile, highfive, and casual touching.
maybe he just really cares about you in a "best friend" kind of way.
maybe you think he likes you but in his eyes hes just being a really friendly friend
im not saying he doesnt like you, because maybe he does. but if you stop and think about it maybe its just the fact that you like him that gets you all happy when he does these nice things to you.
some friends just act extra friendly with their girl friends.
but if you really want to know how he feels about you ask around.
tell somebody to ask him how he feels about you.
and maybe then you can figure out whats going on and stop being confused.
