Pianos vs. Keyboards
I play the piano; I've been playing for about six years.
I have a grand piano at home...but I'm going off to college across the country!
Since I can't take my piano with me
I need a portable keyboard.
If I get one with 61 keys will I still be able to play everything I can now? Which keys would be gone? And what's the best brand to buy?
I don't want to spend more than $300.

Hey, I also play the piano. I just recently bought a keyboard. It's a yamaha. My suggestion for you is to get a keyboard with weighted keys. That way it's just like a regular piano. If you don't need all of that recording, other instruments, etc don't get a keyboard with that.
My keyboard was 700. It's nice, but it has a lot of functions on it that some people don't need.
Yamahas are nice. I bought mine at the Guitar Center.
