You should use leave in conditioner after you get out of the shower. They are usually recommended for people who blow dry/straighten their hair a lot because they help prevent damage to the hair. You don't rinse it out because it needs that extra time to mosturize(:

its for dry hair and it moisturizes it and makes it softer and less prone to damage. and you don't rinse it out because it gives it more time to moisturize. and if you are looking for one under five dollars i'd look in the hair products aisle at a drug store or walmart/target!
