The motorola razr

okay, so i had the 2nd lg chocolate and i got sick of it and it was about to slide off of the track so my friend gave me her old phone, i activated it into my name and it works. well, when i text the screen goes white. [it just did right now] and its really annoying, i know they dont have the razr anymore in the stores but im really sick of the phone turning white, since im not used to the phones keypad i text alot of errors when the screen is white. its SO annoyingg. what can i do?

take it to a verizon store and if they can't fix it they will give you a new phone.
