period + sex?
i'm on my period but my bf and i were planning to have sex tomorrow. i think i will be ending my period tomorrow, but i will probably still have a little blood. should we still do it? it will be our first time. what is it like when a girl is on her period?

Whether you choose to do have sex still is completely up to you. I am completely unaware of what happens personally so I did some research and found a website that explains the pros and cons of sexual intercourse while on your period.

To sum up the site, it says that in order to make the experience less "messy" you can wear a diaphragm that will "catch" the blood before it seeps out or just lay out a lot of extra towels or sheets so that your good sheets don't "pay the price". The site doesn't say anything negative about sex while you're on your period and since many girls do bleed during their first time it doesn't seem like it would make too much of a difference.
