Diamond earrings

Question Posted Saturday March 15 2008, 4:38 pm

My mom has some diamond earrings but theres a problem...one of the diamonds fell out and she lost the part the holds it (the actual earring part). So what we're working with is a whole earring (earring part and diamond) and the diamond from the other earring. My question is, can we purchase just the earring part?

If you take the earring that you still have to a jewelry store, they can definitely make another earring part that matches it. Or, they can reset both diamonds if your mom finds a setting she likes more. I've had this done before and it's pretty easy for them to do. It's very fortunate that your mom still has both diamonds! It doesn't take more than a few minutes for them to put the diamond in a new earring.

well, some places do that while others dont. so i would suggest going to a jeweler and asking them :) hopefully they will.
