My boyfriends mom died 7weeks ago and I dont know how to be there for him when he expresses his hurt in a mean and cold hearted way I want to be there for him but lately he has been pushing me away I told him that I did not need to talk to him because i see he how he feels I love him but want to back up because i keep getting hurt

this one's hard, but since it's in my inbox i'll give it my best.

you're in no way expected to be able to feel as bad as he does. all you can do is sympathize. Give him his space. it's all you can do. he's going to need a lot of thinking time, and as his girlfriend, you're "job" is to be there for him when he needs you.

sometimes the best thing to say is nothing at all, but be there for him, if he wants to talk let him, laugh at his stories as gay as they may be.
