Question Posted Saturday December 22 2007, 10:52 pm
Okay, you answered my question earlier about zip files on the sims. i know that i unziped them and i know where they are i just don't know where to move them to. when i looked on google for answers, they were telling me to drag and drop or something? but i dont know how to do that either. any advice?
Also, is what you dl'd a CD/iso/mdx image? If you don't know what those are, look in the directory of the unzipped files. Are there many files? or only a few? If few, what are the extensions of the files (i.e. *.iso; .bin; .mdx?). If this is the case, you will need to get a CD emulator, like Daemon tools, which basically creates a virtual cd-rom player that runs a virtual cd (the image files), at which point you can run the install or setup file, as if you were install from a CDrom.
If there are many files, there's probably a setup.exe file, in which case, you won't have to move any files. You can just run the setup utility from where it is, and it will install the game to a default location.
If this is an add-on; is it an official add-on? or did someone else create it, like a "mod-er?"
If it's official, you may have to figure out if it's an image. If it's a mod, let me know. [ Fbomb's advice column | Ask Fbomb A Question ]
