i have a problem with really really dry skin. it usually happens every winter, but this year, it's just gotten out of control. i've tried changing my diet, i've been using face cream and moisturizer everyday. i've tried so many things, but it's just not working. does anyone have any ideas? i'll do just about anything. i'm so sick of my dry skin. it's embarassing going to school and having dry skin all around my mouth. please help!

Maybe give some free advice about: Health? uisforukelele answered Thursday December 20 2007, 8:21 pm: okay, this happens to me too- it could possibly be that your face wash or facial medicine is drying your face out more than normal because of the weather. try not using your face wash/medicine as much. since it's around your mouth, it could also be your toothpaste drying your skin out (toothpaste really does dry you out- that's why it gets rid of acne, it dries it out). try being a little more careful when you brush your teeth, don't get too much of it on your skin. since this is really a problem for you, try calling your dermatologist or making an appointment because they always know what to do. try only washing your face once a day- i know that sounds weird or whatever, but it really might help because your natural facial oils can replenish themselves. for now, keep caking on that moisturizer.
