Music Disaster!!!

Question Posted Friday September 21 2007, 11:40 pm

Alright I was doing somthing like moving around my songs from my itunes to like a folder (can't quite describe exactly what I was doing) but anyways after that something happened that cause the tracks to lose the original locations of most of my songs. So right now I have like 325 songs on itunes but on my ipod I have 650. So is there anyway to get my songs back? They are not in the recycle bin anymore by the way. Like is there a trick where I can connect my ipod AND IT WONT GET SYNCED WITH MY ITUNES and it can some how restore my songs from my ipod to my itunes? Like for example, since my ipod has all my songs can it restore my lost songs on my itunes by doing somthing? If not is there a way to like put new songs onto my ipod? Like if I get 1 new song it will make my itunes hav 326 but is there a way to send it to my ipod to make it 651 without making my itunes delete my songs from my ipod to make it sync? Sorry if this causes any confusion and sorry about the length. I just can't go on without all my music! I like just lost half of my good ones ='[.

Use ephpod:
[Link](Mouse over link to see full location)

It is a free application that will allow you to take items off of your ipod and onto your hard drive.

A note: If your iTunes is set so that it automatically opens when an ipod is connected, once you plug in your ipod, IMMEDIATELY Ctrl+Alt+Delete and quit iTunes. This will prevent iTunes from updating your iPod and deleting the songs on it. After you do this, then run ephpod.

Hope this helps!
