Does anyone know where to get a cute pair of ripped jeans with actual rips and holes in them? I know there are a couple at Hollister and Abercrombie and Fitch but those have the tiniest tears and a couple pieces of thread sticking out. There are no rips at all. It looks like regular pants from far away but they just add an extra $20 because of the tiniest rips. I like jeans with noticeable holes at the knees and I tried to make them but they never turn out right. I went to Hollister and they said they don't sell those anymore because I remember that used to have huge holes so does anyone know any better stores? Prices don't really matter.
1. Take a piece of tough sandpaper and rub it vertically on your jeans back and forth until you can tell that the material is thin and fading. (Note: this mite take a while, but it all depends on the type of sandpaper u use and how hard you rub)
2. Take a sharp knife and rub it across the faded spot in the opposite direction you rubbed the sandpaper. (horizontal) Once a small hole starts to form, use the pointy part of the knife to pull the strings away and make the hole bigger.
Finally: Experiment. Everyone has their own way of doing things. Also, dont get frusterated! it took me more than a month to actually understand how to do it. (but hopefully i explained it so its easier to comprehend.) but just continue to practice, and start on an old pair of jeans first, (in case you make mistakes!)
I'm available for question anytime, so feel free to ask!!
