So my period is late. I've been regular for years now. In July I got my period around the 18th, so I'm off by almost two weeks. Around the second week of August [the 10th or so] I had brown spotting for a few hours. It wasn't actually heavy, but it was definately there that I had to wear a pad. Since then I haven't gotten anything. After a few hours it stopped & that was it. For the past week or two, I've been very emotional & have been getting ovary pain. I usually get ovary pain every month, but this month is around my stomach, under arms, chest, inner thighs, belly button, arms, etc. I heard of something called hormone pains?? Is that what it is & if so, why am I getting it?? Also, I am a virgin. I've had very very light cramping last week, barely anything. Another issue is I'm almost underweight. I'm 5'9 & 118 lbs. Is that not enough?? I'm extremely worried & stressed out about not getting it. Is there anything I can do to relieve this stress & does it sound like my period is coming or should I expect to skip it?? Thanks!!
Additional info, added Sunday August 26 2007, 1:56 pm: My mom said the areas with pain could be lymph nodes?? If so, does this just mean my period is coming??. BitsandPieces answered Sunday August 26 2007, 10:32 pm: You do sound pretty darn thin, but only a doctor can truly evaluate your total health. I urge you to see a physician about all your concerns...it is their job to help you. Write down everything and bring it with you, so you don't forget any question or concern. Your health and body are more precious than gold and you deserve to get a check-up. If you cannot afford medical insurance find a free clinic. If you are sexually active or plan to become sexually active within the year, you need to start seeing a gynocologist on a regular basis. Periods are sometimes a sign of what else is going on in our lives and health, and stress can effect them, too. Pain is also a sign of something that needs attention. Don't tuff this out, get to a doctor and get real answers. [ BitsandPieces's advice column | Ask BitsandPieces A Question ]
