my lips are peeling off and it hurts!!!!!!!!! what to do?

Question Posted Wednesday August 15 2007, 9:09 pm

The skin (?) on my lips is constantly peeling off and it hurts so badly. I have to rip off the skin becuase it's very bothersome and painful if I keep it on, but it hurts like a biatch to peel it off, and then it stings afterwards. And it keeps happening.

Why is it peeling all the time?
And how do I stop it?!?!

Try rubbing vaseline on your lips and let it it sit for 15 minutes. When the time is up, take an old toothbrush [one no one is using on their teeth] and brush your lips. It will take all of the dead skin off your lips without it causing any pain and it will help keep your lips from peeling.

Chapped lips is a sign of not being well hydrated. So, drink more water, and buy yourself some chapstick. Preferably chapstick medicated or cocobutter ((the stick form)) it looks like a glue stick but it works SO well on lips.

your lips are either extremely dry or sunburnt. First of all, do NOT pick the skin off, as much as it bothers you that will only make it worse. buy some vaseline and apply it to your lips heavily and often for a few days. If you put it over the peely part it will smoothe the skin and make it less annoying. After it has gotten a little better, continue to put the vaseline on at night, but during the day keep a tube of chapstick in your pocket and keep putting it on. Make sure it has spf in it, this will prevent lips from peeling and cracking due to sunburn.
I promise this will help!
