If you do like him, and do want to date him, follow your heart, sooner or later, you'll figure out how to be together. I doubt your friendship has been crushed by this one little pickle. If he likes you, I'm confident that he'll understand that you don't want another heartache, but he will try to make it up to you. But as of right now, take it easy, try not to think too much about him, you probably have too much stuff to worry about as it is. If you want to, try to take a little break from him, let everything settle, and then, if you wish, bring it back up to him. Just remember, don't take all the blame, 'cause it's not all your fault. And if he likes you enough, he will talk to you. I hope I cleared this up a little bit for you.
