i hurt a guy i like so much

Question Posted Monday August 6 2007, 1:52 pm

theirs this guy i like alot. and he likese me back...we had a "thing" and in the end we wanted to do some stuff. after discussing us dating i had to say no cause i've had to many heartaches and my parents wouldnt allow it. i'm trying to protect myself and him for that matter. i feel awful and i want to do the stuff we discussed but i just dont want to regret anything nor do i want anyone to get hurt- nor our friendship get ruined. i feel awful-and i dont think things will ever be the same between us again. i did things to lead us to this and i knew my parents wouldnt allow it. he said hes fine. but i dont know if thats true or not. what should i do?

Most likely, something is wrong that's eating him up inside. You can try to discuss it, although I doubt you'd get any info out of him. If you do like him, and do want to date him, follow your heart, sooner or later, you'll figure out how to be together. I doubt your friendship has been crushed by this one little pickle. If he likes you, I'm confident that he'll understand that you don't want another heartache, but he will try to make it up to you. But as of right now, take it easy, try not to think too much about him, you probably have too much stuff to worry about as it is. If you want to, try to take a little break from him, let everything settle, and then, if you wish, bring it back up to him. Just remember, don't take all the blame, 'cause it's not all your fault. And if he likes you enough, he will talk to you. I hope I cleared this up a little bit for you.
