fun events

Question Posted Monday July 30 2007, 12:23 am

I'm part of a bible study, and i'm helping to come up with ideas for events we could do. For example, one idea is a capture the flag game. i need ideas for events we could do that a lot of people (under 30 or so) could participate in, and don't require invitations. (things like a murder mystery party wouldn't work.)

any suggestions? the more creative, the better!! thanks!

at a youth group lock in last week, we played this game called underground church. this will work inside, like in a building of some kind(haha) so you turn off all the lights and tell one person to go hide somewhere. then you get either 1 or 2 people to stay in the jail (any room) and whenever people are sent to jail those 2 people haveto makesure they don't leave unless they tell you a bible verse. the way everyone gets sent to jail is from the 2 sheriffs- each has a flashlight and if they shine the light beam(or tag) someone then they have 2 go to jail. so then everyone else is looking for that one person who hid, and when they find him/her they stay with them until everyone is there, or unti someone ends the game and starts a new one.

also you could have a scavenger hunt.

if you need more ask me!

hope i helped :D

try a scavenger hunt! with clues or puzzle peices you put together that make a map that will lead you to a treasure. and one time at my cousins birthday they gave us a list of things we had to go door to door and ask people for the items along with the hunt. the ones with the most points won. [each itme was a point] it was a lot of fun

hope i helped!!
