hey. i like this guy who has a facebook & we sorta talked a few times last year.
i want to send him a message just saying, "hey, how's it going?" but i'm scared he'll be like, "uhh why is she messaging me..." you know?
i just want to be friends [for now] & i don't want to go out with him.
what's something i can do to make it less awkward? like should i think of a REASON to have messaged him or what?

Well- thank you for posting in my inbox.. and just today [its odd] I've gotten 5 inbox questions, and I feel like people value my opinion!

I think that's funny because I get that a lot on here, but not in school.. people at school are jerks, though =].
ANYWAY! I think you should just say "Hey, how are you?" or whatever, because whatever you say will get him wondering "Uhh.. why is she messaging me..?", as I know I do that when someone I don't know randomly messages me.
Saying that simple "Hey, how are you?" is the simplest and most effective way to be casual.
I think it's your best bet!
