a bit confused about my new ipod!

well when i plug it in to upload songs to it,lets say i made a new playlist and wanna put only that playlist on it..it puts that playlist but deletes ALL of the other songs on my ipod..so i have to put ALL the playlists on all over again including the new one which takes too long..how do i just add a new playlist without having to do it all over again? thank ya!

You cant have individual playlists on an Ipod (except that "on the go" one that you can only make on the Ipod itself). You have to make an Ipod selection list or whatever you wanna call it, and then make it so Itunes puts that list into your Ipod. THen whenever you get a new song, you just put it into the ipod selection list and it'll update when you put your Ipod in.

when u have your ipod plugged in go into the preferences on itunes for the ipod and there is a setting to automatically update playlist/add songs to ipod. Uncheck that in order to manually select your songs.Other then that id say your ipod needs a reseting.
