faux hawk

ok 16/f i have medium length brown hair. i really want to get a faux hawk but i dont know if thats gay. being a girl and if i get one, how do i explain it to my hairdresser lady? i want it like choppy and such. any ideas? lots of responses would help guys.

if you want it bad enough go for it and it will also show you who your real friends are :) they'll stick up for you if the others don't like it and i don't exactly know how your gonna tell your hair dresser "i want a faux hawk but i don't wanna look gay" lol
