Question Posted Sunday May 13 2007, 12:55 am

I started dating my bf who is 23...I'm only 17. How do i tell my parents? I'm from a traditional family...he's a tattoo covered punk i met in a mosh pit. I hate sneaking around, i am usually honest with them. But now its also gettting hard to keep up the secrecy since we live fairly far away. I honestly don't even know if its worth it anymore. How did you know your boyfriend was the right one?

Hey.

Just tell your parents you have a new boyfriend, tell them you've known him for a while, and that you really like him and want them to meet him.

I didn't really have to deal with telling my parents since we had known him for so long, and they pretty much knew it was gonna happen sooner or later anyways.

Arrange for you and your boyfriend to take your parents out for dinner. Tell your boyfriend to act really mature and all and it should go through alright. :]

Good Luck.
