On dog shows, they would call the female dog a bitch, not a female or girl. So it's allowed because it actually means female dog, but it was turned into slang.

It's because the FCC is retarded.
They want to bleep out those words because it's not suitable for younger viewers such as childen. But then again, censorship is looked down upon in america so they let some words, sitch as bitch, or ass, or dumbass slide by.
