greek parthenon

who was the main builder of the greek parthenon? i'm just curious - because it says everywhere that the athenian empire did, but i'm sure someone, perhaps a ruler of the time, thought up the original idea.

Well, I believe in Greek Mythology in a way. I believe that Athena herself built it.
