Hey i am going to asume if you are reading this you play the keyboard or piano i use keyboard because i dont hvae a paino but anyway. I am not that good at playing by ear is there anyoe that is really good because there is this song i need to learn for my school talent show And its really easy but i cant play by er and it is no where on the internet. The song is Autumns Monologue by From Autumn to Ashes. If you listen to it you might laugh by hjow easy it sounds to play but please can anyone teach by you finding or learning by ear. or tell me how or something. thanks.

Maybe give some free advice about: Music? uisforukelele answered Wednesday April 11 2007, 10:13 pm: i've played piano and other instruments for 10 years, and i play by ear so i know what you're talking about. the best thing to do is get a cd with the song on it and go to a music teacher (guy at a music store, band director at your school, private lessons teacher, choir director, whoever) and ask them for help on it. i can't exactly tell you how because i've never heard the song before and it would be really difficult for me to try to write down notes, and then you try to decipher what i'm talking about. so it would be best if you found somebody who has been involved with music in some way. keep trying to play it by ear... if there are words to the song, try learning to sing the words (even if you suck like i do), and then try to find out which notes the words are. it slowly starts to come together! then you can figure out what the chords are. also, if there is a guitar tab or chord chart thing online for that song, you can look at that and at least tell what key it is supposed to be in. google for guitar tabs and surely you will find something useful. well, i hope you do well in the talent show :) [ uisforukelele's advice column | Ask uisforukelele A Question ]
