baptist and catholics
I was the one who asked what is a bible. You answered it and I was just wondering about baptist and catholics. I'm neither I'm just a believer but what are your outlooks on catholics? how are they different from you? and what can you tell me about being saved?

Well some of the differences beteen Baptist and Catholics are Baptist believe that once your saved you are always saved...because it tells us in the bible Jesus died on the cross for all of our sins that whosoever believeth in him shall have eternal life. Catholics think that if you sin you will loose your salvation but thats not true because if that was the case Jesus would have to die over and over again on the cross to take away our sin...because everyone sins everyday even if you are saved or not...if you are saved you should try your hardest to let others see you are different and try not to be like everyone else but you will still sin, because we are not perfect the only perfect one is Jesus...another difference is Catholics think you cant pray to Jesus that you have to go through the preist and then Mary (Jesus's mother) but Baptist believe that you can pray to him because he tells us to in the bible. Catholics also dont believe in being saved they think that you get into heaven by doing good works on earth and you have to be prayed into purgatory...they have some really wierd beliefs...but you have to be saved in order to go to heaven...where do you live because i know some Baptist churches you could go to and talk to the pastor...but i mean if you dont understand what im saying you can feel free to ask me specific questions...if you want to know how to be saved i can walk you through it i can tell you how if you have a bible or even if you dont...but if you want to find a good church to go to let me know and i'll help you!
