Hi, in your advice to someone else you recommended punky proffessional hair dye, i want some!!! do you know where you can buy it from in the UK or online and whats the price of it - i dont wanna be ripped off!!
thanks!!
I do still recommend Punky Professional. Their official website is here: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
It seems that you have to call or email them to place an order. The tubes of semipermanent color I remember buying were between $8 and $12 USD.
However, I have since started using a brand called Special Effects which is carried by Hot Topic stores. Special Effects can be found at their official website: [Link](Mouse over link to see full location)
Click "contact" to place an order with them by telephone.
If you'd rather buy it through the Hot Topic stores, they have a huge and reliable online store at [Link](Mouse over link to see full location) . You can search for "Hair dye" in the search window, and click on "Special effects" when it comes up. Their prices are $14.99 per bottle which is rather expensive. However, the dye is very concentrated and I've found a little goes a long way! I use about two to three tablespoons of dye when coloring my hair (it's about chin-length). You can water it down a little to stretch it further, or apply it like a thick paste to get extremely bright color. It's best to bleach your hair first--the dye seems to last absolutely forever. I have used a variety of pinks and reds by Special Effects.
You may know that pink and red are the first hair colors to fade and wash away, but Special Effects is doing something very good, because I can't get the stuff to leave. It's awesome.
But I must caution you to put down newspaper in your dyeing area, or do it somewhere you won't ruin the countertops and sinks. My pink dye left a spot on the stainless steel bathroom faucet and it took a LONG time to scrub it off. This stuff will dye anything it touches! It's amazing!
