I play softball(fastpitch) and I have been basically my whole entire life. I have always had a sort of side armed kind of throw and recently on my permadent move to the outfield my high school coaches have been trying to correct my throw. My throw is getting alot better but now I am having alot of shoulder problems because of this (my coach said it would happen) its like a sharp jolt of pain all down my arm right after i throw. I have been taking pain medicine, icing it and using icy hot before practice and it has slowly been getting better. I am now at the point where I do not have any pain unless i throw it hard at a far distance.
I am happy with the progress I made but the thing is next monday are our tryouts and I am going to have to throw long and hard for atleast 3 days in a row. (luckly thought are try outs are inside our gym so it could be worse) but what are some things i can do to make it better? I can't rest it much because i still have 2 more open gyms on tuesday and thursday before try outs and i need to be 110% by Monday
any suggestions?

I love it! its so much fun I'm leadoff and starting center field!! well i feel your pain i was the worst thrower on the team but my coaches wanted to develop my arm so they made me throw and throw and throw my arm killed me all the time and i did the same things as you (you no the icy hott and stuff) well i found that streching my arm out would help, advil, and R.I.C.E which means Rest, Ice, Compression, and elevation (like when elevating your keep it higher than your heart when resting like stack pillows and put it on them) have fun,
