Hey.
I read someplace here that you're bi?
Well.
I am too.
But I'm finding it hard at the moment.
Cause I came out to some friends, and now the whole school knows!
Will this pass?
You seem like a cool kid (:

Aw thank you. Well, Yes I'm bi & I've known since 5th grade. So heres my story, lol. I came out in 6th grade and my friends freaked and turned against me, so I said that I was lying and i really wasnt and everyone pretty much forgot about it. I then waited till I was in 10th grade and I brought it back up again and everyone was cool with it. I dont know how old you are or what grade you're in, but it seems to me that the older people are, the more mature their friends seem to be. When my friends we're younger they didnt fully understand the concept, and they were used to it because everyone is generally classified as straight in middle school cause its "normal". But when I was in 10th grade, like I said, everyone was cool with it. Hopefully it will be the same at your school. If your friends are iffy about it and think that you might have a crush with them just simply explain that just because you're bi, your friendships arent going to change, and it doesnt mean that you automatically have a crush on every girl. I dont have a crush on any of my friends that are girls, because I've known them forever. If they are your really good friends, they should understand that.
So, yes Im sure it will pass. When first coming out, the initial reaction is generally shock. Once they get over the initial reaction, it should be smooth sailing. Im sure you might have a few people who might not like the idea and decide to be immature and start problems, but dont worry about them, they dont matter anyways. Just ignore that if it happens, because it simply isnt worth it.
