can you upload dvds that you have like put the dvd in your computer and then like open it with itunes so that the movie is on your ipod??

nope, it's not that simple. the only pay to put videos on an ipod is to buy them from itunes store or download programs such as handbrake that rip DVD's, which is basically just copying the movie onto ur harddrive. you can google it and find programs that rip.
