pityriasis rosea

i have pityriasis rosea. [a skin disease] its like you get spots all over your body that cause itching. well mine are dark spots [its usually red spots for other people] because i dont have white skin. and ive heard that getting a tan can cover all those spots all over my body.

qusetions:

do u think its a good idea?
do u think tanning beds are bad for me? [especially cos im 13]
would you recommend those spray tans instead?

i really need help. NO0NE knows when these spots are gona go away and theres no was to cure it.

Yes, tanning beds are bad for you but it's your decision and going once or twice probably wouldn't kill you. And I believe that spray tans won't work because what you actually need is the UV Rays.

One dose of ultraviolet light can stop itching and shorten the course of pityriasis. Have your youngster sunbathe for 30 minutes (enough to make the skin pink). Do this only once. If this is impossible, use a sun lamp or consider a tanning salon. CAUTION: Avoid sunburn.

Occasionally sun exposure or a tanning bed is suggested on a limited basis, although caution should be used because of the increased risk of skin cancer from sun damage.
So as long as you don't go constantly and go every once in a while, you should be ok.
