I like my brother's friend
Sorry, this is sort of long.
I am 15/f, and a sophomore in high school.
I have a crush on my brother's (best) friend, who I will call Jake. He's 17. We hang out alot because of my brother (we go to his house and watch movies, football games...among other things)
At first, I just tagged along wtih my brother and his friends, but after a while Jake expected me to hang out with him. I'm usually the only girl.
Well I can't figure him out. One of Jake's other best friend's little sister also liked him. When Jake found out about this, he started being very mean to her.
On the other hand, he is nice to me. He always makes a point of opening doors for me, says things like "You're magic," and "You're on fire," and was the first person to comment me "Happy Birthday" on Myspace.
But I don't know. Although he's really outgoing, he doesn't look at me very much (unless we are talking). Even when it's just me and my brother, or if he's sitting directly across from me. However, when I talk to my brother and point at something, while Jake does not look at me, he does look to see where I point.
Also, we never talk when it's just the two of us, or just me and my brother. But when there is more people, he talks to me.
I joked around with another guy, and Jake was like, "Stop flirting," but I don't know if he actually didn't want us to flirt, or was just trying to imply that he didn't care.
One day Jake might talk to me alot, but the next day he completely ignores me, and flirts with alot of other girls. When we went to the movies, there was this one girl whom he obviously seemed to really like (he was flirting and hanging around her), but when my brother suggested it, he said, "No."
So, do you think that he could like me... or is he just being nice to me because I'm his friend's little sister? Also, why does he never look at me?

OK Well im with the teens to teens advice and realtionship couciling we help with teens that have issues or advice problems im the founder of it im 16 so dont worry but anyway to your question well 1st yes it probaly really great chance that he likes you their is the jealousness when your were when you were jokeing with that other guy he got testy and he was more likely that when he was flirting and everything with that other girl he was trying to make you jealous and get your atention guys like that and thats alot of the time the guy is alittle blind so you might have to ask him out alot of the time its because hes afraid of denial exspecially someone younger but i was the same way untill i met my fiance i shes 3 years older then me but you should know that the age doesnt count but if you ask him around abunch of his older friends he might say no because to a older guys they might think its a joke for him to date a younger girl but dont let that stop you and if he doesnt like you dont worry about it its a one speed bump in lifes eyes and plenty will be in front of you but their are plenty of guys out there for you and you should just try him and take this bump on and take it from there. If you need any other advice or help just message me my fiance is also an advice counsiler so you can ask her as well i really hope this helps with your questions and the reason why he doesnt look at you is because hes shy to look in to your eyes.
