Computer turning itself off
my computer like turns itself off if i'm not on there for like 20 minutes and it's annoying me because my away message comes down and people IM me an i dont even know it. Does anyone know how i can make my computer stay on longer?
Ps. I've tried goin to properties and changing it but it doesn't work. And also thanks in advance!♥

eeek. It most likely goes into hibernation mode. in order to disable this right click on your desktop, hit properties, go to scree saver, click power, go to hibernate and make sure that the box is unchecked. after that then go to "power schemes" and if you dont want the moniter/harddrive or system to turn off, set it to never =]] and if you dont want a screensaver or anything than do w hat the girl below said to do and set your screensaver properties to 9999 minutes so that it wont come on :))

I used to have that problem. I went to properties and changed the screen saver to come on after 9999 minutes. So it doesn't come on, and hibernate doesn't come on. Try that.
