I want to stay friends
14/f (8th grade)
There is this guy at my school named A.J. We have grown really close since the beginning of the school year in early September and i think he "likes" me. Example: Guys keep grabbing my butt all of the time and he says he doesn't blame them because I have a "nice ass." Just there is other things he does that lets me know that he likes me. Just, I don't feel the same way about him, and I don't want to hurt him if he ever expresses his feelings to me. This always seems to keep happening to me, I start to get a really close guy friend and then they start to "like" me, and I think I hurt them by saying I don't feel the same way. I mean, I'm not extra flirty or anything, I only flirt with the guys I like. Help me!

oh...that can be difficult because you don't wanna ruin your friendship. However if he really is your friend he'll understand. You just have let him know that you dont't like him "that way". If the subject never comes up leave it alone. If it does something like ask you to a dance don't lie and tell him your going with someone else if you aren't. Say something like sure I'd rather go with a friend anyway, don't put too much emphasis on the word friend though. Let him know your not interested in a subtle but firm way.
