I am really nervous about starting the cheerleading squad this year... I will be a sophomore and this is my first year. I am about 5'3 and 100 pounds, but I am a little out of shape. I have a thin frame and good balance. Do you think I will be a flyer or a base? Do you sometimes get to switch places? Can you give me any good tips? I made the squad, I think, because I was smiling and I could halfway remember the moves. I cannot do the jumps or a handstand or anything. Just a cartwheel. I am sooo nervous!

This is my 3rd year and iam a freshman. i remember my first year tho.. your nervous and your not too sure whats going on. 5'3'' is kinda tall to be a flyer but you never know. It realy just depends on how big the other girls are.. Yes switching does happen, inless you cant do the other thing.. haha. The biggest tip i can give you is to have fun! Cheerleading is way to much drama somtiems and you just need ot learn to let things go if they dont work out and just try 110% and be school spirited. Smiling is realy important! great job. im sur eyou did great... i cant realy tell you much of anything else.. any quesiton id be glad to anwer! dont be nervous. i take it you tried out? well evrey time i try out its still the smae nervous feeling till you know.. well good luck!<3.
