Well, this happened with me, except it was different because it was a girl asking me. What I did was I told her that I liked her and that was that. Nothing happened, she didn't laugh. It was fine. If he does laugh at you, then you shouldn't even really like him because he is rude. And even if he doesn't like you, it doesn't mean it's the end of the world. There's plenty of fish in the sea.
