friend flirting with my ex!

Question Posted Friday May 29 2009, 5:28 pm

well...it prooves the guy aint just worth it...
this guy asked me out after we slowdanced every song at a dance. i said yes, and we kissed and stuff later in the day. i had been waiting for that moment for so long, as we had been friends for 2 years now. then after a day and a half, he dumps me, saying he still loves me. i ask him out again, but he doesnt reply propley. then at the last dance at school, he totally ignores me in front of all his friends.
but this 8 grade girl, who thinks shes all that, says to me it was only a dare to ask me out, and that he never liked me, though its obvious he did...she was just jealous, cause, they went out for 3 weeks and didnt do anything, and in 1 day, we had already kissed....
but i know it aint a dare, cause one of his close friends told me he had told them he would ask meout before we go to bed, but he had just dared the guy to ask me at that moment!
and my 'friend' kept on flirting with him, THE MOMENT I BROKE UP.
i mean she kept flirting with him, hugging him when we were about to dance and stuff. and when we were about to kiss, she'd start talking to him!!!!
she'd basically tried to break us up.
i hate her for that, seeing as it was my first kiss and all..and he was really sweet to me...
im now ignoring this friend and i really dont know what to do about this guy...i still love him, but hate him for what he's done!
and i try to flirt with him, but he doesnt respond, and then he starts flirting with me!

I would hardly call him your ex if you only dated for one day. Yeah, your friend shouldn't flirt with him, but this is just a mixed up situation. Whether or not it was a dare to ask you out, this guy isn't worth the drama. He sounds like he's about eleven years old and doesn't want a relationship. Also, I'm not so sure that you guys 'love' each other. If you 'loved' each other, you would most likely date for more than one day.

Did he give you any particular reason as to why he wanted to break up after dating for one day?

Either way, you need to move on. If you don't trust your friend that flirted with your ex anymore, just don't talk to her. If she asks why, tell her that you don't appreciate her flirting with her exes that you don't trust her anymore.

As far as the guy goes, stop trying to pursue a relationship with him. It's obvious that he's not interested. Especially if he doesn't even respond when you talk to him. He ignored you in front of his friends, he dumped you after dating for one day.. He's just playing games and unless you want to play games too, you need to move on.
