I have to get one wisdom tooth removed in a month or so. I already went over everything with the oral surgeon and I chose to use just novocaine instead of doing the conscious sedation. I'm not squeamish or anything so I don't see any problems with doing that. I've gotten teeth pulled before, so I know what novocaine feels like and how it works. To top it of conscious sedation is literally twice as expensive (I don't think insurance covers anything). The oral surgeon kind of tried to talk me into the conscious sedation and everyone I talk to this about has done the same. However, I can't find anyone that has actually done it with just the novocane. I see no problems with it, but I'm starting to feel like I made the wrong choice. If nobody does it, there's got to be a reason, right? I still have time to change my decision. Does anyone that has been through this have any advice for me? Thanks. 20/f if it matters.
