ok..I have an Xbox 360 and we bought xbox live for it and we cant get it to work..It has worked one time since weve had it...We have called our internet provider and we called the xbox people and they tried to help us but nothing works....it keeps saying "DNS failed"....how can I make it work again??...please help
knightuk answered Wednesday April 19 2006, 4:09 pm: check if its xbox 360 live, if you are running a router rember to port forward, check your internet connections, if in doubt call microsoft and your isp. isp's may have a fault on their proxy server so your phone call may help many others

i'm more of a playstation and pc gal myself ^_^, but i do play some xbox (by-the-by, oddworld rules!! >.> um. yeah. kitty's done...). i haven't played in a while, but if you want i can ask my boyfriend and a couple of my guy-gamer buds about it.
i don't know all the stats of this (in the sense that i'm not standing right there with the xbox and the tv and the connections, etc.), so here's the best i can come up with for right now: "DNS" stands for "domain name system" or "server" or "service", so a DNS error probably means something like the configuration for the internet connections are not right, or that it's not even picking up the internet connection. and, if all else fails, even though it sucks, read the manual. ^_^
again, if you want to email me directly and give me some more info, i can ask around my techie/gamer circle and see what i can dig up. good luck.
