Of course you think you like your best friend. What's easier then dating someone that knows you inside and out? It's like you can skip all those awkward getting to know you conversations and jump right into dating. You have to ultimately decide if its worth risking your friendship over. I dated my best friend, and when we broke up we hated each other, but now we are friends. In the end its better to have taken a chance then to spend your life wondering what if..

I had the same problem 2 years ago before i met my boyfriend i always used to walk most of the way home from school with my best friend since we couldn't drive yet.
it was the last month of the school year and i was starting to just have the urge to kiss him but couldn't do it and i made it my goal to do it by the end of the year and i never ended up doing it i got so close but always chickened out I'm happy with my life now but still wish i would have just done it....whats the worst that could happen really?
i think if you do it you should be fine if anything goes wrong it just might get weird for a little while but things will go back to normal i promise.

Ultimately it's your decision whether you bring it up with him or not. You have to consider that if you mention something and he doesn't feel the same way, it may make things weird between you two and have a negative effect on your friendship. On the other hand, if he does feel the same way, you guys could end up having a great relationship. Try to get a feel for what his opinioin might be on you two having a relationship. For example you could say "so and so told me she thought we would make a cute couple. what do you think?" That way if he says he agrees you can say you do also, or if he totally reacts negatively you can be like yeah i didn't think so either. Good luck :)
