Keyboard playing bass sound??? I'm planning to play in my school's idol competition but we can't find a bassist. I was wondering if a keyboard can replace a bass. Also, is there any site where I can fine bass NOTES??? Not tabs or chords, I'd prefer notes since you can't really do tabs on a keyboard.
Thanks

yes you can replace bass with a keyboard.
as for the notes, i cant tell you a site, but the lowest C on bass is 1 octave below middle C, so it shouldnt be too hard.
if that sounds weird, just play an octave below the guitar player and itll be normal. ]
I would agree that you should use piano notes instead of bass notes, because pianos and basses might be in a different key. It won't sound exactly like a bass, but you could use a keyboard to make a simulated "bass sound". If you don't have that option, it is feasible to replace it with just a normal piano sound, but it would sound about an octave too high. ]
Keyboards can pretty much play/replace any instrument but it won't sound nearly as good. I don't know how you'd use bass notes on a keyboard, I think you'd just use piano notes or something, not really sure, try Googling it and see what comes up. :) ]
