I didnt believe in the whole "boyfriend girlfriend" thing. To me it was just a waste of time, but now I really like this guy in my class. (stupid hormones) We're friends and all and he knows I like him but now I'm starting to wonder if now he's just hanging around me because he is my friend or because I like him and he doesn't want to hurt my feelings...sorry if this doesn't make sense but I have to ask is he really my friend or just pitying me?

It sounds like he is your friend. Did he just start hanging around you when he found out you like him? If that's the case, he could really like you more than a friend or just pitying (sp) you.
